The launch of the new CPP pellet label came about with the founding of the Climate Premium Pellets e. V. quality association in June 2025 by renowned pellet manufacturers in Germany and Austria. The quality mark is awarded to wood pellets that not only meet the highest technical quality requirements, but are also particularly resource-efficient and produced regionally – with proven positive effects on the carbon footprint.
CPP stands for what modern wood energy can already achieve today: it consists of 100 per cent by-products and residual materials and enables particularly clean and efficient combustion – regionally and sustainably. Against the backdrop of rising expectations from consumers and politicians for a climate-friendly energy supply in the future, the Climate Premium Pellets label will make these advantages even more visible and strengthen confidence in wood energy for the future!
